Terms of Use

Effective date: 1 November 2026

Short version: Pera Chats is for adults. Be respectful and lawful. Anyone with a room’s invite link can join it, and we cannot read your messages, so you are responsible for what you send and who you invite. Nothing illegal, nothing involving minors, no harassment.

1. Who we are and what you agree to

Pera Chats (the “Service”) is operated by DD Corporation (“we”, “us”). By ticking the consent box or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Adults only (18+)

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live, if higher) to use the Service. We do not allow anyone under 18 to use it. If you believe a minor is using the Service, tell us at perachats@yahoo.com.

3. How the Service works

The Service lets you create temporary private chat rooms. There are no accounts. A room is accessed only through its invite link, and anyone who has the link can join, read and take part. Messages are encrypted in your browser before they are sent, using a secret contained in the invite link that is never sent to our servers. Ending a room deletes its stored messages. We do not guarantee deletion from other people’s devices, screenshots, or copies they make.

4. Prohibited use

You must not use the Service to send, share, store or request:

any sexual or exploitative content involving anyone under 18, or any grooming, solicitation or sexualised contact with minors. We have zero tolerance and will report it to the authorities where we can;
sexual content shared without the consent of everyone shown, including intimate images of another person without their permission;
threats, harassment, stalking, bullying, blackmail, extortion, or sharing someone’s private information (doxxing);
content that promotes violence, terrorism, self-harm, or hatred of people because of who they are;
fraud, scams, impersonation, or illegal goods and services;
malware, spam, or automated or bulk use (bots, scrapers);
anything that infringes someone else’s rights or breaks any law that applies to you.

You must not try to break, bypass, or interfere with the Service, its security, or its encryption.

5. Your content and your responsibility

You are solely responsible for everything you send and for whom you share invite links with. Because messages are encrypted, we normally cannot see, review or moderate them, and we do not endorse or verify anything users say. Other users are strangers unless you know them. Do not share personal, financial or sensitive information with people you do not trust. Features such as the privacy shield are best-effort and cannot stop screenshots, screen recording, or photographs of a screen.

6. Reporting and enforcement

To report abuse or illegal content, email perachats@yahoo.com with the date and time, the room reference shown in the room header, and any excerpts or screenshots you have. We may, at our discretion and where technically possible, delete rooms or data, block access, preserve information, and cooperate with law enforcement or report to the competent authorities, including where the law requires us to. We may act without notice. We are not obliged to monitor the Service.

7. Licence to operate the Service

You keep ownership of what you send. You give us only the limited permission needed to transmit and temporarily store your (encrypted) content in order to run the Service. We own the Service, its design and software. Do not copy or resell it.

8. No guarantees

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that messages will always be delivered, private or deleted. No system is perfectly secure. We do not guarantee anonymity: your IP address and technical data are visible to our hosting providers (see the Privacy Policy). Do not use the Service for emergencies.

9. Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits or data, or for anything users send or do, including harm caused by other users. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the last 12 months or USD 50. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Indemnity

You agree to defend and compensate us against claims, losses and costs arising from your content, your breach of these Terms, or your breach of any law or third-party right.

11. Suspension and ending

We may suspend or end access to the Service, or delete rooms, at any time, including if we think these Terms are being broken. You can stop using it whenever you want.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. The updated version applies from its effective date; continued use means you accept it. We may ask you to confirm again.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, and its courts have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law in your country says otherwise.
